Może na gwiazdkę zrobię sobie znów prezent (konto Rs com bo bez niego nic nie dam rady) ale narazie mam przerwę bo nie mialam czasu na muzykę ...jednak kusi od czasu do czasu coś poznać nowego lub sięgnąc po stare a myślałam że zostawie to hobby muzyczne na inny czas ...ale

This is my favourite album released this year so far. Complete list here.
Polish jazz does it again. The entanglements that build the line-up of this album are rather complicated. Apparently, it's Zdzisław Piernik that's the leader of the group and the tuba player. Apparently, he's conducting/leading/performing Piotr Zabrodzki's music. But, apparently, Piotr Zabrodzki is also in the group, playing piano, electric piano, doublebass, bass guitar and organ. There are a few other players around, with instruments ranging from vibraphone to violin. Anyway, the tuba is definitely the highlight here, as it is processed, digressed and distressed into sounds that some times evoke Prokofiev's mysticism, other times throw you into a melange of Krzysztof Komeda and Mikołaj Trzaska, suggest what Supersilent would sound like if they were actually good, or remind us of last year's excellent EAQuartett. Oh, if we've mentioned that one - yes, it has a plus compared to it, a big plus: way more creativity. A minus? The production is not as good.
This album is not compatible with a fondness for the Czech New Wave.
For fans of: "We don't know if this is jazz, classical music, electroacousic improvisation or a chamber music rehearsal."

New Tango Bridge, najnowszy projekt Grzegorza Frankowskiego, jest kontynuacją działań zespołu Tango Bridge, który powstał w 2003 r. Tango Bridge z założenia łączył na scenie muzyków, aktorów, tancerzy i innych twórców, których umiejętności mogą stworzyć nowy rodzaj prezentacji, opartej na tangu argentyńskim. Do New Tango Bridge zaproszeni zostali uznani wykonawcy tanga tradycyjnego i tango nuevo. Michał Nagy (gitara) za płytę Piazzolla Tango, nagraną wspólnie z Klaudiuszem Baranem, otrzymał nagrodę Fryderyk 2002 w kategorii Album Roku - Muzyka Kameralna. Z kolei Grzegorz Frankowski (kontrabas) oraz Paweł Wajrak (skrzypce), współtwórcy Piazzoforte Ensemble to zdobywcy Fryderyka 2006 za płytę Astor Piazzolla: Piazzoforte. Czwartym ogniwem jest, znany już bardzo dobrze poznańskiej publiczności, Wiesław Prządka (akordeon) - założyciel Musette Quartet oraz New Musette Quartet, a także członek wielu innych formacji. Artyści, każdy z bagażem własnych doświadczeń, wspólnie budują pomost między tradycjami kultury europejskiej, elementami etnicznymi i tangiem argentyńskim.
W ten listopadowy wieczór artyści przeniosą nas do gorącego Buenos Aires. Zabrzmią tanga Astora Piazzolli, Richarda Galliano, tanga tradycyjne i tango nuevo. Nie zabraknie również naszego rodzimego tanga, bo, jak mówią wykonawcy, ich celem jest odnalezienie Polskiej Duszy Tanga.

soul, female vocalists,jazz, blues, R&B, pop,country
urodziła się jako Esther Mae Jones w 1935 roku w Galveston. Jej głos porównywano do wokalu Niny Simone, choć Esther twierdziła, że największą inspiracją były dla niej dokonania Dinah Washington.
Jako dziecko śpiewała w kościelnym chórze. Po rozwodzie rodziców mieszkała w Houston i w Los Angeles. Kiedy miała 13 lat jej siostra zabrała ją do jednego z klubów w LA, w którym odbywał się konkurs talentów. Mała Eshter zrobiła wielkie wrażenie na Johnie Otisie, który był właścicielem klubu i zaprosił ją na próbne nagrania do studia. Dziewczynka zaczęła wkrótce występować pod pseudonimem "Little Eshter" i dołączyła do grupy wokalnej The Robins, (później The Coasters). Grupa wylansowała przebój "Double Crossin' Blues", zaś sama Eshter nagrała takie piosenki jak: "Mistrustin' Blues", "Cupid Boogie", "Misery".
Po rozstaniu z Otisem Eshter postanowiła poświęcić się karierze solowej. W 1954 wróciła do Houston, by zamieszkać z ojcem i znalazła się na życiowym zakręcie - całkowicie uzależniona od heroiny i bez pieniędzy zarabiała śpiewając w małych nocnych klubach, co jakiś czas lądując na odwyku.
W roku 1962 dostrzegł ją Kenny Rogers, który namówił swego brata na podpisanie kontraktu z Eshter, która przybrała nowy pseudonim - Esther Phillips. Rok później ukazał się jej album "Release Me". Dzięki temu Esther mogła podpisać nowy kontrakt z wytwórnią Atlantic, co zaowocowało wydaniem krążków: "Esther Phillips Sinus" oraz "Burnin'" - uznanego za najlepszy i najbardziej spójny materiał wokalistki. Znalazły się tam takie utwory jak: "And I Love Him", "Shangri La", "Don't Let Me Lose That Dream".
Niestety w tym samym czasie pogarszał się stan zdrowia piosenkarki - nadal była uzależniona od narkotyków, a w późniejszym czasie alkoholu. Mimo kontraktów z wytwórniami Kudu i Mercury oraz hitu "What a Difference a Day Makes" coraz trudniej było jej występować.
W roku 1984 Esther zmarła w Los Angeles z powodu niewydolności wątroby i nerek.
