A double cd set containing mostly re-recordings of Fish's solo career and of his ex-band Marillion. The overall quality is rather good with true highlights such as the angry re-recording of Marillion's Punch and Judy, the duet version of Just Good Friends with Sam Brown (remember the 80's soul hit "Stop!" ?), a cover version of Yes' Time and a Word with none other than Steve Howe on the guitar, another cover version of Boston Tea Party where Fish benefits of the unique sound of Alex Harvey's band, etc... Nostalgic will certainly enjoy this and others will find some interest in curiostities such as Institution Waltz (a Marillion song, never released before) and a few others. A nice catch for fans, a nice résumé of Fish's career for other.

A bootleg recording (audience, excellent sound quality) of Marillion in their latest tour. Recorded in Lyon, this demonstrates the communion between the band and its audience. No song from the Fish era, the bands seems to do a very few of those and only in fan's conventions. Anyway, a good little boot fans and friends of 90's and 00's Marillion will sure enjoy! Some others might realise this band's still alive and kicking and catch up with what they do today.

Czy ktoś ma jakiś link do Madonny-2008(bo z tej str.310 nie działa).Ucieszę się jakby ktoś podał wcześniejsze płytki Madonny-lub te nowsze też.Po za tym szukam polskiego zespołu -chyba zwie się BOHEMA-a to do kochaniutkiej ciamciaramci-czy możesz podać artystów którzy są na str.chyba 390-chodzi o te płytki 4 i 5;bo parę tytułów i ich wykonawców nie kojarzę.Z góry dziękuję-i się kłaniam.

Why the heck this terrific album isn't mentioned as a Clash masterwork in the same breath as LONDON CALLING is a mystery to me. Coming out when it did at the tail-end of 1980, SANDINISTA! was so unlike anything else on the landscape of Punk and New Wave that I, for one, got drawn in right away. It's an album that dared to break the "Year Zero" mentality that ultimately made Punk and New Wave a cul-de-sac, and grab onto rockabilly, gospel, sound collages ala "Revolution #9," rap and lots and lots and lots of dub, all the while sounding like nobody else but The Clash. And you want classic tunes? Try "The Magnificent Seven," "The Call Up," "Police On My Back" (which was penned by Eddy Grant), "Charlie Don't Surf" (probably the best track here) and a load of others.
So it wasn't under two minutes, super-loud, super-fast and snarling all the way through. Get over it. SANDINISTA! is a great album.
